This implies that still, in Muslim societies, women are considered caretakers of the home while men are provided the opportunity to work (Clevard, 2006). In Western societies this is not the case, after the industrial revolution of the 1920s today's women have sought a significant place in the workforce. The voice of women in Muslim society is still unheard. This is because their culture confines them to not being heard, but only the male figure is supposed to dominate all voices (Cavendish, 2010). In contrast, in Western societies, many women have raised their voices high and are still being listened to and thus have had a great impact on today's society.
