Since I was little I have always loved helping animals. Animals are very important to me. I will always have a soft spot for animals. I will always fight for animals and raise them for as long as I can. So, being a vet seems like a perfect job. It takes a lot of work to become a veterinarian. In the end it's worth it. To be a veterinarian or veterinarian for short, you must attend veterinary medicine for four years to earn a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (Veterinary) degree. There are at least 29 schools that have the accreditation qualifications to obtain a degree (Veterinarians). Additionally, you must have certifications, licenses, and specialties such as microbiology, internal medicine, and surgery. You must have a 1 year internship even after college (vets). You must have a state license to be a veterinarian (Veterinarians). Veterinarians are paid $40.61 per hour and $84,460 per year (vets). Veterinarians usually work 50 hours or more (veterinary profession). Veterinarians can work in private clinics, classrooms, laboratories, hospitals or go on farms.
