Choosing what to become in the future is considerably easy, but actually achieving that goal is a completely different story. It will be a long journey but getting there will require many important decisions. The first important decision is whether to go to university or not. Through their senior year of high school, students have access to all the help they need to get ahead. After high school is a new world, many students need to have the opportunity to build their lives on their own. Students have to work hard to prepare for the real world after high school because that is where it gets hardest, which is why they should attend and work hard in college to have a secure future. Without college many people will have a hard time surviving in this world. Choosing to go to university will definitely benefit students because they will be able to strengthen the skills needed for their chosen career path and will have more opportunities in life that will give them a better chance of surviving in today's fast-paced world. As the saying goes, “practice makes perfect”, it is essentially the same thing when it comes to a certain job. They must practice their skills first so that they are ready to apply them in real life situations. If they choose of going to college, students will be able to take courses that prepare them for their chosen profession. Therefore, have efficient tools and time to gradually strengthen the necessary skills. Beth Kneller, a graduate of Brandeis University and director of the CUNY BA, says that by going to college, students can have “exposure to a broad range of knowledge in different fields [which] allows graduates to bring unexpected skills to a job” (Kneller). Going to college not only strengthens my... middle of paper... many opportunities in one's life. College should be seen as an experience that will be useful in today's world because it is very difficult to get by in the current circumstances.
