Topic > Compare and Contrast Vygotsky and Piaget - 827

Both Piaget and Lev believe that much learning occurs when children play. Vygotsky believed that children learn by speaking as well as by doing things. Both Piaget and Vygotsky place emphasis on closely observing children by listing and observing them. Vygotsky's theory is based on curriculum and interaction, while Piaget believes that children's cognitive learning is internal in different stages. I feel that both Vygotsky and Piaget expressed their views on children's cognitive development and learning, based on their individual beliefs, because no two people see things exactly the same way. As for my personal opinion, I believe that in order to provide children with the best learning opportunities, both Vygotsky and Piaget's learning theories will provide good learning opportunities.
