Because the United States is a codified constitution, there is less disagreement about the meaning of the amendments since it is all clarified in one document. However in the UK the uncodified constitution has caused much discussion due to everyone's different interpretations. If the success of a constitution were measured solely by its clarity, it cannot be disputed that the codified constitution of the United States would be considered a success compared to the uncodified constitution of the United Kingdom.
