Topic > Democratization in Taiwan and South Korea - 2043

IntroductionHuman civilization encompasses many aspects. Among these is the ideology of democratization. Democratization is an unstoppable process that is much needed in 21st century governance structures. East Asia is currently experiencing the transition from other previous forms of government management to a process of democratization of governance. Therefore, after many years of struggle over development programs, East Asian nations are restructuring their systems to redefine the development process by establishing this democratization. In this and future generations, democratization is the only tool capable of pushing the collective national development agenda to new, higher platforms. It's a process that has been tested and proven to work. Its establishment, implementation and sustainability are particularly notable in Taiwan and South Korea. What caused democratization? Economic empowerment for both Taiwan and South Korea has undergone a series of transformations. Before democratization arrived, processes of authoritarianism prevailed. This process hides some element of democracy, but in the true sense of the word they are not democratic. This confirms why most democratic systems are the first precedent of authoritarianism. This happens when disguised democracy blossoms into an unstoppable force that demands a new order of doing things. Although the process of authoritarianism has staged a good platform for development in both Taiwan and South Korea, it has slowed down development especially where political will was lacking. It mainly depended on the type of leadership in place. If the political leader was not development oriented, the country would be destined to lag behind... middle of paper... they say it is a process that delays decision making, what they forget to know is that a solid decision that will guide development for all must be undertaken collectively. While the decision-making process can take a long time, the wait is worth it because what gets approved is agreed upon by everyone and is long-term. This means that long-term development programs can be formulated and implemented very easily. This is very evident from the series of positive transformations and transfers that Taiwan and South Korea continue to show since the introduction of this process. Today these two countries are emerging as large economies, all thanks to democratization. Once again, now that everyone feels part of this system, the citizens of each of these two nations continue to be unified by the diversified elements of this process and therefore it proves without a doubt that it is a development tool.
