Using a Rifle / Using a RifleAll weapons serve different purposes. Guns have been a part of American history for many years. Many different types of weapons have been used for many different types of jobs. Likewise hunters have different weapons for different game. Just as police use guns for law enforcement, hunters use guns to harvest game. The two firearms most commonly used by hunters are the rifle and shotgun. Both the rifle and the shotgun are used for hunting, but the two have some important differences. The main differences between the two firearms are the cost, range, and type of ammunition each firearm uses. Most gun manufacturers sell shotguns at much lower prices than shotguns. Rifles are not as complex internally and have fewer parts than shotguns. The simplicity of a rifle also makes it easier to clean and maintain, reducing costs. Since shotguns have fewer parts than shotguns, this also helps with expenses. No matter how much a hunter takes care of his weapon, over time the internal parts will break or need to be replaced. If there are fewer parts, there is less to replace and less money to spend. Shotguns, on the other hand, seem to cost a lot more than shotguns.
