Imagine a life without lights, televisions, computers, trains, washing machines, refrigerators and microwave ovens. Imagine a planet so polluted that the smog in the air is so strong you can't see very far, lakes and streams are poisoned, and the land so badly scarred by people trying to find more sources of energy. This may become a reality in the near future due to the abuse of our energy resources. This reveals that energy is very important in our lives, while the planet we live on is also important, a planet that, influenced by both, generates the energy to meet our demands and our use of energy. As you can see, there is relationship between the generation of electricity, which is a type of our energy, and the pollution of the environment. In fact, the environmental crisis could be solved by considering two important aspects, the environmental crisis occurred due to carbon dioxide emissions, caused by the processes of generating electricity to meet the increased demand for it. So the two important aspects are: avoiding abuses in energy consumption and obtaining environmentally friendly electricity production. This essay focuses on the second aspect to offer some solutions to this problem. There are two types of resources used to produce electricity, non-renewable energy resources and renewable energy resources. Non-renewable or known fossil fuel energy resources such as wood, oil, gas and coal can be defined as solid, liquid or gaseous fuels formed in the ground after millions of years by chemical and physical changes in plant and animal residues at high temperature and pressure . According to Franchi (2005:72) “renewable energy is energy obtained from sources at a rate that is less than or equal to the rate at which the source is... half of the paper... .t the demand for electricity compared to the non-renewable one. It could also be more environmentally friendly. Wind energy, as it can be seen that wind energy could carry the least danger and most reliability.
