If an individual has never experienced a migraine, it is difficult to understand. Migraines are more than just a headache and can affect many aspects of someone's life. Migraines have played a significant role in how I go about each day, how I feel about myself, and how I interact with the people in my life. Migraines have affected my work life and have had a major influence on my personality, not to mention the impact they have had on my finances. The migraines have had an effect on how I carry out my tasks every day. The painful migraines cause me a lot of problems while at work, not allowing me to work at 100% of my capacity. Most of the time I have some sort of annoying underlying headache that hides behind my eyes. This unpleasantness requires constant effort to focus on my work and not the irritating throbbing behind my eyes. However, this irritation is not the problem. It is the migraine that visits me at least once a week and its events that herald the attack. My neck tenses, giving me the first hint of what's soon to come. Neck pain triggers some anxiety because I know explosive pain is upon us. Pain and anxiety take my attention away from work. My brain
