Garibaldi 1Introduction:Photography is a window onto perfection. It shows that even for just one thousandth of a second everything was perfect. That's why I chose to take photographs for my personal project, to show people how perfect the world around them can be. Once we were given the parameters of our project, the idea of photography immediately came to mind as I had been thinking about selling my photos for a while. Photography is really close to my heart because it allows me to express who I am in a way that none of my other hobbies can. It gives me an escape into a world where I can choose what happened and what people see. Photography gives me a way to show others how I see the world. Selling my photos does just that. Having this showcase was a way to allow other people into my life, to see things through my lens. Choosing this topic was easy for me because of my passion for photography and my interest in selling my photos. The end result or goal of this project was to organize a sort of "gallery exhibition". Simply put, simply a showcase of the photos I took to see if I could sell them to my friends, family or anyone who wanted to purchase them (see appendix ae). The real thing I wanted out of this whole experience was to be able to let people see my world. . The experience of taking photos, selecting images to display, ordering copies, determining the best way to display my artwork, inviting people to the event, and planning the food and entertainment for the day has me taught the myriad tasks required for setup. organize an art exhibition. The experience will be invaluable should you choose to pursue a photography career. Garibaldi 2 The global context that mainly applies to my project is "Globalization at...... middle of paper ...... 300.00 in the art show and the food and I made just over $100 , 00. It may seem easy to run a gallery that requires no overhead rent and when your parents help you pay the essential expenses is if you have to rent a space, pay musicians and pay for advertising It has definitely opened my eyes to the reality of how to earn money from something you love. This project has expanded my knowledge of business skills that can be applied now and in the future, regardless of the career choice I make that I embodied the most during this project was that of "taking risks". Having to publish myself and my photos was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do 'being in the art world. So taking a leap of faith and showing people my work was what I'm most proud of.
