SECTION-IINTRODUCTION In this era of increasing competition, leaders recognize the importance of teamwork more than ever. Teams can expand individuals' achievements through collaboration. Employees who possess effective teamwork skills are becoming the standard for the organization (Alie, Beam, & Carey, 1998). Teamwork is a means of improving workforce utilization and potentially increasing the performance of individuals. Teamwork can have a positive impact on company performance, job satisfaction, and increasing employee commitment levels (Sparrow, 2003). With the support of higher level management, an employee works confidently in a team and increases the productivity of the organization. Nowadays, in the new world of business, managers assign more team projects to employees with opportunities to strengthen their knowledge and develop their teamwork skills (Hartenian, 2003). The research study is basically based on the quantitative research technique. This study focuses on the effects of teamwork on employee performance; In this study, teamwork is considered as an independent variable (IV) while employee performance is considered as a dependent variable (DV). Various other measures of employee performance are also included in this research study, including employee learning, goal achievement, and job satisfaction. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY The effectiveness of the organization, its productivity and growth totally depend on employee performance and work behaviors. A recent study shows that employees working within teams can produce more results than individuals (Jones, Richard, Paul, Sloane & Peter, 2008). This research study highlights the importance of employee teamwork and its effects on employee performance within Pakistani organization...... middle of paper ......row, P.R.
