The Soil of Our Souls When considering planting a garden, there are many things to think about. You need to take time to plan your space, time and commitment. What kind of garden will you plant? Will it only contain greens, maybe flowers, or will you make it a combination of both? Will you start planting seedlings or will you purchase plants already established in the greenhouse and will the plants you choose flourish in your area? What type of soil does your garden space have? Is it necessary to add fertilizers, nutrients or anything else to make it a healthy soil for growth? It's curious to me that we, as humans in this society, tend to put more effort into the soil of our gardens than into landscapes. of our spirits. We will spend hundreds of dollars on soil amendments, plant fertilizers and high-quality potting soil, not to mention the cost of plants to have a beautiful and attractive garden. A personal oasis for some, a necessity for others. The method doesn't really matter, as long as we achieve the desired expectations. And our souls? What does it take to nourish our inner part? We can't just go to the Soul and Spirit Store on the corner and pick up a different pattern, a different color, or a new and improved version of ourselves. We have no special seeds or fertilizers that we can purchase to enhance the beauty of the flowers our soul holds, or to fight against the words that come out of our mouths in a loving way, and to help others grow strong in them as the flowers grow in the sunlight. As human beings we experience emotions, feelings of jealousy, compassion and thirst for power. We humans have the innate ability to screw things up. In the animal kingdom, animals respect their hierarchy/position in their society. They follow a leader and have the ability to survive outside... middle of paper... and as always, he has edited and hacked their beginning to death, so that it barely resembles the principles this country was founded on ON. Our nation is in disaster mode and we have no one to blame but ourselves. Change is inevitable, but harmful change is catastrophic and it may be too late to turn back. So now another day has come and the soil of our souls has yet to be tilled. Will today be the day we begin to reawaken the nutrients long buried in our storytelling roots, perhaps sparking new growth? Or will it be just another day, where we all long and long for change, but few have the tenacity to do something different. Seeds ready to be planted are everywhere. Wildfires are on our spirits' horizon, waiting to burn away the dead and dying brush of our landscape, making way for new growth to come. What are we waiting for??
