Online news sites began appearing in the 1990s (12). In fact, by 1996 most media outlets had developed their own online presence (12). In 2008, “for the first time, more people said they got their national and international news from the Internet rather than from newspapers” (13). Just as television news challenged photojournalism in the 1960s, the Internet today challenges today's traditional sources of information, such as television and newspapers. Unfortunately, just as photojournalists lost revenue to television, many newspapers are now losing their advertising revenue to the Internet
