David Strom had always dreamed of a different world. One more peaceful and accepting than Waknuk, but to do so was to go against the beliefs he had grown up with. “Only the image of God is man”, “Keep the lineage of the Lord pure”, “In purity our salvation”, “Beware of you mutant”, “The norm is the will of God”, “Reproduction it is the only holy thing” production” and “The devil is the father of deviation” were all lessons he was forced to memorize. One day, while playing in the hills around Waknuk, he met a girl named Sophie. Sophie was a deviant, someone who didn't conform to the normal image of man. Joseph Strom, David's father, hated deviants. David didn't understand why his father hated them so much. Sophie had six toes, but David didn't care and decided to keep it a secret from his father because she was his friend. David would protect Sophie. The people of Waknuk were terrified of any deviation because of a past event called the Tribulation that wiped out the Ancients, a human race that had advanced from Joseph's era. Because of this Joseph's father, Elias Strom, believed that they were all killed because God hated their ignorance of deviants and allowed them to live and defile the pure stock of God. David also had a secret; he too was a deviant. David was a telepath and could speak to other telepaths with his mind, rather than with words. One day, his uncle Axel discovered David's secret. Uncle Axel was different from other people and chose to protect David and his friends. However, not everyone was as kind as Uncle Axel. While playing in a stream, David's friend Alan discovers that Sophie has six toes and reports her to the inspector. The inspector is the man who judges whether someone is "normal" and... middle of paper... I mean, sooner or later everyone will die. “The essential quality of life is living, the essential quality of life is change; change is evolution; we are part of it. The group realizes that they are part of the future or present in which the citizens of Sealand already lived. David, Rosalind and Petra arrive in Sealand. David automatically recognizes the futuristic world because it was the realistic version of his dreams! Petra, under all the excitement, lost control again and gave everyone in town a headache. “Oh sorry,” Petra apologized to the ship's crew and the city at large, “but it's terribly exciting.” “This time, darling, we will forgive you,” Rosalind told her. "AND." Rosalind and David began a happy relationship and Petra was considered a genius. They all lived happily ever after in the wonderful city of Sealand. Works cited The chrysalis
