I have always been interested in biology and how our bodies work, so taking biology in high school helped get me closer to what I wanted to do in college. Doing various activities and labs in that class helped me decide that I wanted to keep doing this and testing things again and again, so I thought why not keep doing it after high school. I decided to pursue this during my sophomore year and focused on working in the science field. Every day I got closer to determining the career choice I wanted to make and until I knew that I wanted to become a heart surgeon. This goal is connected to all areas of my portfolio because I was able to use every aspect of the areas that were important to me and my learning to determine the educational and professional goal I had set for myself
