A Japanese-born British novelist, Kazuo Ishiguro possesses a variety of different perspectives on many cultures, which he uses to weave different cultural values and tendencies into his novels. It uses science fiction to present the possible futures that could arise in our civilizations in an eerily familiar and easily imaginable tone. (Kazuo, British Council) Although incredibly diverse in his writings, he has a tendency to create tales of semi-dystopian futures that show the failure of humanity without neglecting to show the altruistic behaviors he can also display. Kazuo himself has described his passion for how trials and tribulations can test the very values and ideals of previously relatively benign societies. His story can be used as a tool to demonstrate his observations about human nature and its natural exploitative practices such as socioeconomic class
