Book Review: The Book of Matthew in the Bible Since the Bible is the best-selling book in the world every year, chances are that at some point in your life you have at least heard talk about the name Jesus Christ, but have you ever wondered who exactly this man called Jesus Christ is and why he is so important to so many people around the world? I have had the privilege of growing up in the gospel since I was very young and to this day there are so many things I don't know about Jesus of Nazareth. When the opportunity arose to do a book review about a historical figure, the first thing that came to mind was obviously Jesus Christ. I have to admit that I am definitely not a bookworm. I don't own historical books or novels simply because I don't like reading. Even just the thought of walking into a library and walking for hours looking for a book to read sends shivers down my spine, then one day I realized that the only book I really enjoy reading is the best book to learn more about Jesus was already in my room, The Bible! I already knew that the best place to learn more about Jesus Christ in the Bible is the gospels which include Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John found in the New Testament. For this book review I chose to focus only on the book of Matthew simply because it mentions some important events about the life of Jesus starting from his birth to his crucifixion and everything in between. I will focus on his birth, his ministry, and his death/resurrection. To begin this book review, I thought I should share some interesting facts about the book of Matthew. The name “Matthew” means gift from the Lord. Matthew was the son of Alphaeus and author of...... half of the sheet ......ani?" which means: "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?", three days after the death of Jesus burial He rose from the dead. Everyone was truly shocked and amazed by this miracle. The most significant of the miracles that occurred in the Bible was the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. It is truly amazing that His resurrection was predicted in advance of time. after reading the book of Matthew, not I only got a better picture of Jesus, but I also learned a lot of information about Jesus that I didn't know before. I would definitely recommend this chapter of the Bible to anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus. I would actually recommend people to read the Bible when they search. answers to their life problems. I know they will find the solution they are looking for, if you haven't given Jesus a chance, I sincerely think you should.
