Water is essential for the survival of humanity, and although the world is largely covered by water, only a small percentage is usable for human consumption alone . On average, approximately 120,000 gallons of water are used each year for a single family household (Galbraith). This alarming number could be dramatically reduced through water conservation efforts and by reducing water bill prices for households and, as a result, saving money that could be used for other expenses. Therefore, water conservation would prove beneficial and beneficial not only to Texas, but to everyone else as well. Although environmental policies have not been as popular with Congress and state legislatures, it is still an important issue to consider since there is only a limited amount of resources for public use, such as water.
