Even though men were the majority of people performing, it gave women the opportunity to start something they weren't accepted for. Women found it difficult but continued to work to achieve what they want, looking back in history, there are some great female jazz musicians. Despite the fact that there were some important gender views back in the day, it has now influenced women to be capable of everything that men can do. Even if there is a gender difference, that shouldn't stop them from doing so
