Cell phones in public Cell phones play a fundamental role in our lives and through them we carry out many useful functions every day. If a mother wants to inform her children that she will be late to pick them up from school, the cell phone would provide a good means of communicating that message. The cutting edge technology of mobile phones at your fingertips is a very powerful device that can be used to connect with people from all over the world and can even save lives in emergency situations. However, public institutions such as schools and libraries have reached the point where cell phones have become a major controversial issue. This was mainly caused by the improper use of mobile phones by young people. Not only young people, but also adults are unaware of the potential of mobile phones in terms of quick and efficient access to information. The overuse of the revolutionary aspects of mobile phone technology among youth and adults must be recognized for mobile phone technology to truly benefit our society in public institutions. Across the nation, people use cell phones every day to interact and interact. communicate socially with each other. Unbeknownst to the average cell phone user, 4 billion people around the world use cell phones every day. According to an ABCNews article, people check their phones one hundred and fifty times a day. People don't just use their cell phones to send messages or make voice calls, but more importantly they take and share photos with them; Every day 500 million photos are shared across social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. Apparently in our country, 15% of Americans admit to sharing almost everything online (ABCNews). All these statistical facts demonstrate that... half of the paper... contains simple statistics that are of interest to the average reader. In this article, Kieffer describes the concept of the whole “Bring Your Own Technoogy” initiative that schools are moving towards in our society today. Basically, as schools are adding more and more technology, they are considering allowing students to bring their own devices to save money. Later in the article, Kieffer cites examples of schools in the northeast Mississippi area that have already banned students from using cell phones on campus.
