“Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed” (“Neil Armstrong”). The 1960s were an interesting decade for the United States of America. Richard M. Nixon had been inaugurated as the 37th president, but created such a scandal with Watergate that he resigned soon after and had Vice President Gerald Ford take over in his ignominious dismissal. The United States had decided to hold the second lottery to find men to serve in the upcoming Vietnam War. This meant that the Selective Service system would conduct a lottery-like situation by drawing both a sequence number and a date to select the next men to serve in the war. A fateful event occurred when Senator Edward M. Kennedy had a car accident with Mary Jo Kopechne. He accidentally fell from a bridge into a tidal canal. He swam free and Mary was dead in the car. Kennedy did not report this incident and was sentenced to two months' imprisonment. The culture had transformed into a unique settlement. Fashion has morphed into what is known as hippie clothing also known as long hair, blue jeans and bright, psychedelic colors. Pop art became a success with the image of Marilyn Monroe drawn by Andy Warhol. The sport was booming. The Green Bay Packers had beaten the Kansas City Chiefs in the first Super Bowl in history. The government has also decided to commit itself to the new decade. Upon obligation, all new cars must be equipped with seat belts. The most memorable moment of the decade was the Apollo 11 moon landing. This event brought an end to the decade and ushered in new inventions and advantages in the coming 1970s. Astronauts Neil Alden Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins worked for many years with NASA to be the first humans to reach the moon and back. After completion... half of the paper... able to help the military with more precise coordinates of countries, which meant less friendly fire, as well as being able to learn how to send missiles into space without a country knowing who launched that attack. It also allowed the military to fly at high altitudes and the UAVs to have a better view. The inconsistencies of the Moon landing led many to believe that this historic event never happened. As a result of debugging all this evidence, the evidence shows that this event actually happened. Even with the mistakes made in obtaining the photos and evidence. NASA continues to prove that they went to the Moon with logical answers as well as plenty of supporting evidence and details. Without clarification of the real events of the Moon landing, there would no longer be a truthful and concise chronology of what really happened.
