Topic > Amity Island beach scene in the movie Jaws scene

The scene cuts to children splashing in the water closer to the foreground at the bottom of the frame while a shark fin is visible swallowing the child in the background closest to the top half of the frame. The attack is almost overshadowed by children splashing in the ocean to visualize how it must have appeared to spectators on the beach. The scene then cuts to a shot of the crowd of people on the beach reacting to the attack. The purpose of this shot is to show that some people on the beach are starting to notice the attack but the boy's mother has not yet been informed of the situation as she continues to look down and read her book. The scene switches to an extreme shot where the boy is seen struggling as the shark pulls him down and blood begins to fill that part of the ocean. This shot then switches to a shark perspective where the boy is visibly knocked down and blood begins to pour out. The continuity error here is that in the shot before this one, the blood is already present
