Bruno is unaware of his surroundings and assumes that a place like Auschwitz concentration camp is a place to be envied because they had other children in there to play with and they could wear their supposed pajamas all day, when in reality it was a horrible place to even wish on someone to go into. Throughout the film, there are many conflicts that Bruno (the protagonist in this case) encounters, although the main one is What brought a domino effect to the rest of the conflicts was the fact that he and his family had to leave leaving behind it memories and friends but bringing boredom. When children get bored, they tend to wander around and look for fun things to do. In Bruno's case, he decided to do something he said he wanted to do when he grew up, which was explore. He explored the courtyard and saw a door. He knew that one of the farmers in the striped pajamas would go out back to get things like tires and supplies, and when Bruno followed him, he spotted a window near the ceiling.
