It does so through the Allegory of the Cave. In the Allegory of the Cave the prisoners think they have knowledge of the images projected on the wall. This is similar to how humans in our society believe they know the truth about a certain topic. But when a prisoner breaks free, he discovers sculptures that project images onto the wall and realizes that his “knowledge” of the projected image was false. If the prisoner ventured further, he would discover that the sculptures are fake and that the real objects correspond to the true form of the images he saw in the cave. Through this allegory, the audience learns that what is perceived as true may not be true. So, when the true form of an object is found, knowledge of the object is obtained
