Topic > The deal with Iran will slow down their nuclear weapons...

Iran's nuclear program is very controversial and has been even more controversial since they started enriching their uranium which has the potential to become a nuclear weapon. This gives the West and Israel a reason to be more concerned about the issue. However in all this there has recently been a revelation because Iran and the P 5+1 have reached a nuclear deal to ease the harsh sanctions they have received, resulting in billions of dollars being returned to the Iranians in exchange for closure of the program for half a year. However, if this diplomacy fails, then it is time for deterrence and possible military action to come into play. There are other nations that possess nuclear weapons like India and Pakistan without authorization. So all in all, it seems unfair that Iran is being discriminated against in all this, but there are stark differences between Iran and Pakistan or even India. Now some political scientists believe that Iran's sovereignty will be violated if they have to sign a permit to legitimize their nuclear program according to the IAEA. This would have been a good argument if Iran had not accepted the deal. But Iran did so and agreed at the UN that, when the parties agreement requires the Iranians to reduce the purity of their uranium to a percentage below that suitable for nuclear energy, just to avoid an Iran armed with nuclear weapons. So in terms of the nuclear program, the Iranians have already agreed to do it directly or indirectly, even if it is only a temporary agreement. It is because they have accepted the conditions established until a more formal agreement is concluded that everyone can agree on. This basically means that this does not affect their sovereignty in the slightest, so the argument is irrelevant at this point, assuming that Iran is committed to reaching the agreement within that six-month period. They agreed to the terms of the deal and because they are allowed to keep the uranium at that level instead of completely dismantling the nuclear program it essentially means that they got permission regardless of whether or not there was a challenge to sovereignty. This issue on the table concerns Iranian nuclear power. weapons have been in circulation for many years without a surge on either side on the international scene for decades. The West is partly worried about this because it has enriched uranium that can be turned into a weapon of mass destruction.
