He was the leader of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945. His attack on Poland in 1939 started World War II. He also caused the deaths of over 6 million Jews and other groups he believed posed a threat to Aryan supremacy, during the Holocaust, by establishing concentration camps. Hitler then committed suicide on April 30, 1945, in his Berlin bunker with his wife Eva Braun. Early lifeAdolf Hitler was born in Branau am Inn, Austria, on April 20, 1889. He was the fourth of six children born to Alois Hitler. and Klara Plozl. At the age of three, his family moved to Germany. Hitler and his father did not get along, due to an interest in fine arts rather than business. He also showed great enthusiasm… middle of paper… the “th march” continued until Germany surrendered, resulting in the deaths of approximately 375,000 people. Many people have written books, given interviews and told about their lives in these concentration camps or life during the Holocaust. One of the most famous books would be the diary of a little Jewish girl named Anne Frank. Conclusion During Adolf Hitler's time as dictator, he had managed to wipe out 6 million of the 9 million Jews living in Germany and surrounding areas and had managed to kill nearly 40 million people, including 27 million in the Soviet Union . His political program sent the world into a war that left Central and Eastern Europe devastated and impoverished. Hitler's defeat marked the end of German control over Europe and ended fascism. After the end of World War II, a new conflict, the Cold War, hit the world.
