Topic > Technology and Communication Methods - 1099

As the title states, the technology and communication methods used nowadays have influenced students. The question is; Did it make it easier for them to achieve their academic achievements and help them prepare for their employment goals? World history has shown that technology and communication are linked. Recognizing it today is not difficult at all. Look around. How do people communicate? How are you? Probably, using the latest technological advances such as smartphones and the Internet, which have taken communication to a whole new level. It has significantly changed our lives; the way we work, the way we connect and socialize with each other but most importantly; the way we learn. The following essay will critically analyze and focus on the following topics; Using evidence and statistics, we will identify the different technology frameworks that students commonly use throughout their educational journey and how these help and hurt them as they acquire the skills and abilities needed to achieve their long-term career goals. We will also discuss relevant information about the contemporary way in which we communicate with each other, as a result of the proliferation of technology, and the consequences that all these factors have when applying for jobs in the future. For starters, remember when the tools used in elementary school classrooms were squeaky blackboards, chalk and threatening rulers. Times have changed and instead today we have smartboards, computers, notebooks, e-readers... all tailor-made to interact with students and make their learning experience more dynamic, simpler and more engaging. New educational research conducted by McGraw-Hill Education 2015 found that 77% of students say technology has had... half the paper... you can listen to recorded lectures from home, less networking and face-to-face interaction with others classmates etc. This is becoming a problem in society itself. Obviously technology has had a profound impact on the way we communicate with each other. It is so easy from an electronic device that face-to-face interaction becomes unnecessary and harmful for some individuals. They get used to having their comfort zone behind a screen and find it difficult to maintain conversations and even relationships when it comes to the real world. It can work both to improve meaningful relationships and build new ones, and to hinder them. There is also a real debate about technology addiction, which affects both; learn and communicate. Constant Internet connection and social networks cause students to be distracted from their work, overly stressed and even isolated.
