How can a society function properly if all men are equal and all men are free? It's the very question I assume the settlers of the New World asked themselves every single day. There must have been an extremely persuasive leader in command if even a few men could think slightly differently from him. Honestly though, how else would we have come to learn right from wrong if our ancestors hadn't been inhuman and paved a path for us by lacking the culture we have today? The intent of the settlers of the New World was to create a new law, a new life and a new order; it was the purpose of deviating from their main land. Starting from scratch with dreams and ideals that would invent an entirely new society, the English arrived proud and greedy. All that was left to gain was power, and it wouldn't be a pretty transformation. One of the greatest forms of power is ultimate control. I have an idea: let's kidnap people we know nothing about.
