On January 2, 1971, not even a year after graduation, Stephen was the luckiest man in the world, he and Tabitha got married on a Saturday afternoon, because of the Laundry mat not be opened. They moved into a very small trailer near the university so Tabitha could major in history. King wrote very little during this stressful time. He began writing the manuscript for a future successful series, The Dark Tower, and Stephen managed to write enough stories to submit them to a men's magazine, to receive a good sum of money.
