Over the years, technology has become more advanced and has become an important part of our daily lives. Technology plays an increasingly important role in education, medicine and communication. Although technology is becoming an increasingly important part of our lives, it has caused some negative side effects on work, communication, education, agriculture and safety. Technological advances have changed healthcare around the world. In some areas of the world where there aren't enough doctors to serve large populations or where it can be difficult to reach patients in remote areas, telemedicine helps doctors and patients interact with each other without being in the same room. Vital information can be collected by locally trained technicians using automated equipment and then transmitted to the doctor. When the doctor meets with the patient via satellite video connection, it is not much different from a typical doctor's appointment. New technology has also made medical equipment less expensive and portable. A new app turns a typical smartphone into an ultrasound machine. This allows doctors serving underserved people or in remote areas to take images of a patient's kidney, liver and arteries with their phone. Technology has also made monitoring the heart of a heart disease patient much easier with wireless implantable heart monitors. The device, 15mm long and 3.5mm wide, allows doctors to monitor a patient's heart 24 hours a day from miles away. This provides early warning of problems that could cause a medical emergency. Patients who wore a heart rate monitor had 30% fewer hospital readmissions. Reduction of medical expenses with a 2% advantage. For most of us, technological advances have changed the way we communicate. Of the 7 billion people living in the middle of the paper, combines and mechanical threshers have allowed a smaller workforce to harvest more food. Furthermore, farmers use global positioning systems or GPS to monitor their production. Large temperature- and humidity-controlled storage facilities have allowed farmers to harvest large quantities without risk of spoilage. It is obvious that technological changes will continue to impact the workforce and the training needed to fill these jobs in the coming decades. Much future work will focus on computer and engineering technologies.“The only thing constant is change -” – Heraclitus. Heraclitus was a Greek philosopher. He said this more than 2500 years ago and it is still true today. Technological changes offer us new opportunities and advantages, in addition to obsolescence and negative side effects. They are both anticipated and unexpected.
