In addition to providing a standard atmosphere, Redondo Nursing Home aspires to exceed average expectations through accessibility and transparency. The nursing center will offer friendly staff, diverse nutritional plans and support for family members to make the transition from independent living to assisted living bearable. Redondo Nursing Home is a small facility located in Fremont, California. Certified as a Medicare and Medicaid facility, Redondo has thirty residential rooms and a dining room. The structure was donated by Sherri and Brandon Richardson upon the death of Aunt Matie Richardson. While half of the residential rooms are reserved for a single person, the other half is reserved for double occupancy. A triple room is not available as these living conditions can potentially lead to sanitation problems. The rooms consist of a living area and bathroom. The living areas consist of bedrooms, televisions, chests of drawers and lamps. The property provides a limited number of towels and hand towels to residents. Furnishings and towels are supplied by a company called Resident Essentials, which specializes in care home furniture and offers "a variety of care home furniture and room furnishings perfect for any care home" (Furniture and Room Furnishings 2011).
