Topic > How to Procrastinate Like a Boss - 625

If you ever feel guilty that you are doing something else besides finishing your homework, an application, or any other work, you are suffering from procrastination guilt. And I'm here to help you with that. Procrastination involves avoiding required tasks by assigning enormous importance to more useless, mundane, or interesting actions. It's a skill you acquire after years and years of being pressured by society to attend school. It is generally considered unproductive and teachers, parents and bosses usually go out of their way to point out the negative sides of procrastination. However, procrastination can help you live an enjoyable and stress-free life. Going to college is the ultimate opportunity to explore this amazing and creative art, so don't hesitate any longer and keep reading so you can procrastinate like a pro. First and foremost, never, and I mean never, get a calendar. The more unaware you are of your duties, the better. If you don't have a calendar, you won't be able to remember the things you need to do. This is the one golden rule when it comes to procrastination. The rest of the things listed here are more tips than steps, so feel free to be creative and choose what seems most appealing to you. Make a list of what you need to do. Then think about the time it will take you to complete all these tasks. Clarifying how long it will take you to complete any tasks or chores you have been assigned will most likely serve the purpose and discourage you from even trying or starting to try to complete them. Then tear up the list and set it on fire. You would never have to worry about any of these issues or being reminded of them again. If your to-do has to do with calling someone, such as someone who just lost a family member's pet, an employer, etc., refrain from the temptation to achieve this goal by thinking negative things about that person. Try to remind yourself of that time he didn't invite you to his birthday, or how he got so annoying on the phone, etc. Focus all your energy on the negative things that person has, then ask yourself if such a person deserves your time and attention.
