Some of these factors are technological failure, food and resource scarcity, and financial market collapse. Technological failure can greatly affect the economic character of society because technology plays such an important role in many societies around the world. Most of today's records and other important information are stored only on computers, so this important information would be lost forever if a technological failure occurred. Resources are a very important factor in the economy because if resources such as food and water become scarce, prices will increase. If they then became so small, a war could break out, because some of these resources are vital for everyday life. The collapse of the financial market would also have a major effect because without the market it would take away the income of many people in society, greatly diminishing their economic character of society. International law concerns the rules established for everyone, while when we talk about national legal institutions we are talking about the rules established specifically for a country. International law is more difficult to apply because people get used to their own laws, but when they go to a foreign place the laws used can be very different. An example of this can be the Italian justice system compared to the American one because the American exchange student Amanda Knox was tried there for murder. Despite being recently released in America, Italy questions the ruling on the verdict. Because the justice system is so different, we Americans are at a disadvantage because in… middle of paper… in the world we simply cannot accept anything in their lives changing. Change is their worst nightmare, so these people might rebel against their government, causing riots or sometimes even wars. We can improve international cooperation by improving trade incentives between countries, offering loans, military agreements, and U.S. protection. This cooperation may not be beneficial for all societies because some countries are already wealthy and do not want help from other countries in the world. The costs of these cooperations may increase because the United States may be a richer country but it also has debt and by lending and trading more it could cause the debt to accumulate further. However, from a political and survival perspective, greater cooperation with countries will help form more allies for wars that may occur in the future..
