John Fielder is a nationally known photographer. For the past 40 years his photos have been taken in Colorado while he was hiking and skiing. When he first visited Colorado at age 14, he said he felt something or someone was guiding him and that he would stay in Colorado for the rest of his life. He is known for creating his best-selling books ever; Colorado 1870-2000. His latest work is the Colorado Great Outdoors work for its 20th anniversary. At the age of 23 he decided to start doing photography. He was amazed by the work of other famous photographers and tried to take photos just like them, but it didn't turn out quite the way he wanted. Nonetheless, he didn't give up. On his days off, he hiked and took photos. He practiced for 8 years and decided to quit his job and focus only on photography. He loves nature, so he loves taking photos or nature. He has published 33 books in the last 30 years. He uses photography with a 4 x 5 large format film camera, he also carries with him 7 lenses and 30 film holders and approximately 400 sheets of color film. In winter it's usually country skies around the Colorado mountains. Ski 5 to 9 miles a day to get from hut to hut. In the summer he takes river trips and usually goes river rafting. He sometimes goes rafting on class 5 rapids. He has two daughters who love traveling with him even if they don't take photos themselves. John Fielder is a primarily Colorado nature photographer. There are many other photographers out there who take excellent photos but they are very different from John Fielder's. Another photographer is The Presidents Photographer. The White House has a special photographer who takes all the photos for him, his name is Pete Souza. Pete and John h... in the middle of the paper... the reason this is like this is because this photo was taken at a ruin called Cliff Palace in Mesa Grande. The ruins are aging and therefore no longer look as new as they did 130 years ago. This photo is really great for John Fielder who takes amazing shots and I love the way he takes them of nature because I love exploring the outdoors and discovering new places. One of my favorite photos of him is the frozen James Peak Wilderness lake near Winter Park. I love the colors in this photo, they look really cool and the photo. It captures the sunrise and makes it look like a breathtaking sight. The photo really follows the rule of thirds. It draws the attention of the person in the center of the image, right where the sunrise is. Overall I really like John Fielder's photos and the work he creates.
